Everything locks into place. and you now have a solid. stable platform to perform your sharpening. Long Knife Jig is developed especially for long. thin and flexible knives. such as filleting knives. Its larger width. 5-1/2 inches. stabilizes a long and thin blade and can cope with blades longer than 6-1/4 inches. it is wider and therefore gives more support to long and thin blades.
