FELTING NEEDLE PAD: This felting needle mat measures 16 x 11cm (6.3 x 4.3 inches). The base is made out of strong plastic which ensures a stable platform. This can be used without needing glue or thread. The pad is non-toxic, safe to use and does notcontain any fire retardants. The bristles are made from polypropylene and measure 2.5cm (1 inch). The pad can be used with any type of felting needle/tool and with single and multi needles. Perfect for surface felting. BRUSH VS FOAM: The brush-like mat allows smooth punching and allows the fibres of the appliqu to become perfectly meshed, with little to no resistance. The bristle ends provide suitable hardness and density for punching. Unlike a foam mat, our brushmat will cause no injuries due to the plastic base which stops needles from going through the bottom. Bristles pads are much quieter to use than their foam counterparts. Needles don't break using these and wool will not get stuck on the bristles.
