FM225 is a face recognition module designed for smart door locks and other access control applications. The module includes a face algorithm motherboard, a binocular camera, and infrared LED lighting. It supports liveness detection to resist spoofing attacks, including photos, videos, 3D masks, and mannequins, using multi-modal anti-spoofing algorithms. With a 99% pass rate, it achieves a false acceptance rate (FAR) of less than 0.0001% (1 in 1,000,000). The module features 3D face recognition and supports simultaneous smart lock authentication and door viewer (peephole) functionality via visible-light video output. It uses an infrared + visible light camera system to perform liveness detection, face capture, feature extraction/comparison, and local user data storage. Communication with third-party systems is enabled via UART or USB interfaces.
