Chinami Ebihara is not your ordinary 17-year old. She happens to emit strange electromagnetic waves and causes major havoc whenever her emotions run high. Because of this strange ability, she has repeatedly changed schools. Now she's a high school student and transfers to yet another school determined to behave herself so her family won't have to move again. Regardless, her natural nervousness causes more cell phones and a multitude of electronic devices to scramble in her vicinity. At school, Chinami passes by the science research club and makes eye contact with Kotaro, who is in the middle of an experiment. Kotaro observes his instruments have suddenly gone haywire and becomes suspicious of Chinami. When Kotaro realizes she has an unusual ability, he begs her to let him study her and conduct some tests!
