The OV2640 camera module uses a 1/4inch OV2640 megaHD CMOS sensor, delivering sensitivity and flexibility with support for JPEG output. It provides parameter control for exposure, white balance, chroma, saturation, contrast and other settings, and outputs in JPEG or RGB565 formats to meet the needs of different occasions. The OV2640 image sensor offers 2 million pixels (1632x1232), with a small footprint and low operating voltage, providing all the functions of a singlechip UXGA camera and image processor. Controlled by the SCCB bus, it can output 10bit sampling data in resolutions including full frame, subsampling, and windowing. The product delivers UXGA images up to 15 frames per second. Users have complete control over image quality, data format and transmission method. Image processing functions such as gamma curve, white balance, saturation and chroma can be programmed through the SCCB interface. This product uses the OV2640 sensor as the core component, integrates an active crystal oscillator and LDO, and features a simple interface for convenient use. The OmmiVision image sensor employs specialized sensor technology to reduce or eliminate fixed pattern noise, tailing, and floating, resulting in clear and stable color images.
