Connect the power cord to the car battery—black clip to negative, red clip to positive. 2. When the red LED light illuminates, the tester is turned on. 3. Before connecting the relay, please check the relay. If it is a 4-pin relay, select pin 4 on the tester. If it is a 5-pin relay, select pin 5 on the tester. 4. Connect the relay to one of the three sockets. 5. Press the "Test" button. 6. The tester will check the pin configuration of the unknown relay. If the unknown relay differs from most common vehicle relays, or if the pins on the unknown relay are damaged, the tester will illuminate a red LED. 7. If the relay pin configuration is correct, the tester will perform 10 open-close tests on the relay to check the contact closing and opening time.
