Splinter Guard Replacement Strip Compatible with Festool Track Saw Guide Rails This replacement strip (compatible with Festool part 495209) is designed to replace worn splinter guards on Festool FS/2, FS/2 KP, and FSK guide rails, as well as Festool rail saws. Periodically replacing the strip helps maintain clean, splinter-free cuts, especially when switching blades or using the rail with multiple saws. Features: • Precise Alignment: The splinter guard ensures accurate alignment of the guide rail with the cutting line, reducing tear-out during parallel and lateral cuts. It matches the saw blade for easy cutting line alignment, saving setup time. The clear material enhances visibility of the cutting line. • Durable Material: Made of soft rubber with a strong adhesive backing. It provides reliable adhesion to your guide rail and stays in place without lifting. • Easy Replacement: Simply remove the backing tape and apply the strip along the scribe mark. Note: Prior to installation, clean the rail with acetone to remove grease and debris. On a clean surface, there is no risk of dust getting on the adhesive.
