This 500 mm format is suited to larger lightweight spacers, panel separation and custom cut threaded sections, especially where a simple non-metallic threaded bar is preferred over a metal fixing. The continuous thread accepts compatible M12 nuts along the rod and can be cut carefully into shorter sections.
