As the mixture exits the hose, the jet nozzle accelerates the abrasive. The operator inserts the nozzle washer into a compatible witheign-threaded nozzle holder and turns it by hand until firmly seated on the washer. 2. The operator holds the nozzle 18 to 36 inches from the surface and moves it evenly at a speed that produces the desired cleanliness. Each pass should overlap slightly. 4. The operator must replace the nozzle as soon as the opening exceeds the size by 1/16 inch.
