Portable dual-wavelength UV lamp set includes a 254nm shortwave lamp and a 365nm longwave lamp. Designed for fluorescence stamp and banknote inspection, this handheld tool reveals fluorescent and colored bands on stamps from Great Britain and many other countries including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Norway, and Russia. It also helps detect different paper types such as OCP, FCP, PCP, and ACP. The longwave lamp (365nm) is ideal for viewing fluorescent bands on stamps and banknotes. For clear visibility, use in a dimly lit room against a dark background. The shortwave lamp (254nm) clearly shows phosphor and its afterglow on GB stamps issued up to 1992. In a dark room, you can observe the afterglow colors: green is brightest (about 10 seconds), followed by blue (about 15 seconds), while violet has a very short afterglow (about 5 seconds). The darker the room, the easier it is to see the afterglow. Each lamp is powered by 4 AA batteries (not included). This portable set is easy to carry and use anywhere. Package includes one 365nm longwave lamp and one 254nm shortwave lamp.
