LD6002C 60GHz FMCW Millimetre Wave Radar Sensor for Fall Detection

LD6002C 60G Millimetre Wave Radar Sensor for Fall Detection This LD6002C is a 60G millimetre wave radar module built on FMCW technology, designed to detect a person's presence and identify falls without any physical contact. Operating at a typical voltage of 3.3V with a current draw of more than 1A, it delivers a transmitting power of 12dBm and an antenna gain of 4dBi, with data output in ASCII serial format. It is a practical addition to any smart home setup or care environment where reliable monitoring matters. Detection Performance The sensor offers an impressive detection angle of ±60° in both azimuth and tilt, with an effective detection range of less than 2 metres when suspended at a height of between 2.2 and 3 metres. It can detect one person at a time, providing dependable performance for everyday safety monitoring. How It Works Using advanced radar signal processing algorithms, the module accurately tracks a person's status within a specific location and promptly identifies fall events. Because it relies on millimetre wave radar rather than cameras, it provides a non-intrusive monitoring solution that respects privacy while maintaining consistent oversight. Where to Use It This radar sensor is well suited to care facilities, particularly in toilets and bathrooms where falls are more likely to occur. It is equally useful in home security systems and broader home intelligence setups, making it a versatile choice for any environment that requires enhanced monitoring.
