Spin-Down Sediment Water Filter with Brass Valve Head, Reusable Tap Pre-Filter for Drinking Water

A Practical First-Line Filter for Your Home Water Supply This spin-down sediment filter sits between your water meter and water purifier, acting as an effective first line of defence for your household water. By capturing deposits, rust, sediment and other larger contaminants before they travel further into your plumbing, it helps reduce the risk of blockages in appliances such as heating pipes and washing machines, which can help extend their working life. The unit comes complete with an adapter for straightforward installation. Safe Materials and Robust Construction The filter uses a 40-micron food-grade stainless steel mesh, which prevents particles larger than 40 microns from passing through into your home. The valve head is made from quality brass, while the transparent filter housing is constructed from an aircraft-grade polymer. This explosion-proof housing can withstand a burst pressure of over 725 psi (5 MPa) and offers good resistance to frost and water impact. All materials are BPA-free, giving you peace of mind where water quality is concerned. Simple to Install and Maintain Once fitted, simply open the shut-off valve to drain wastewater; the filter releases it automatically without the need for professional assistance. The initial flush takes around 30 seconds, allowing the filter to begin working straight away. The housing features both internal and external threads, making installation straightforward in most setups. Easy Cleaning and Reuse This pre-filter is designed to be reused rather than replaced. To clean it, open the bottom valve and the sediment is flushed out automatically. How often you need to do this will depend on your water consumption, the sand content of your supply and the hardness of your water, but the process takes only moments and keeps the filter performing effectively over time.
