Install the battery and press the button to turn on the device.2. Press the button to select measurement mode: grain moisture content or ambient temperature of the probe position. When measuring grain moisture content, the meter displays "XL. %". When measuring probe position temperature, the meter displays "1 -". The device defaults to grain moisture content measurement mode upon startup.3. Grain moisture content measurement: Confirm the meter is in grain moisture content display mode, press the button to select the grain type to be measured (grain types are indicated by 1, 2, 3, 4 on the display: 1 for wheat, 2 for paddy, 3 for rice, 4 for corn). Insert the probe into the grain to be tested to start moisture content measurement, and the value displayed on the meter is the moisture content of the tested grain. During measurement, press the key to display "MAX" on the screen and enter maximum hold mode, press the key again to exit this mode. In maximum hold mode, the display will only update when the measured value is higher than the current displayed value, otherwise it will remain unchanged. The side button is the reading hold button, press it once to activate the reading hold function (corresponding symbol appears on the display), press it again to cancel the function (corresponding symbol disappears from the display).4. Temperature measurement: When selecting the measuring probe position temperature mode, the meter displays the approximate ambient temperature of the probe location. Press the button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit (the meter defaults to Celsius display).5. After measurement is completed, press the stop button, and the meter will enter standby state.6. Activate / deactivate the screen backlight.
