2.5 m x 10 m garden fleece frost protection cover, made from 30 gsm nonwoven polypropylene fabric. This winter plant protection fleece provides enhanced frost protection down to 5 to 6 degrees C. It is thicker and warmer than standard fleece, and is robust enough for more than one season without tearing when tugged on. Breathable and plantfriendly design. The fleece is slightly seethrough with tiny pores that allow sunlight, air and moisture to reach plants. It has passed a water permeability test to ensure plants receive the moisture they need to grow in winter. Ideal for tender plants and shrubs as well as protecting early potatoes. Flexible. The fabric can be cut with ordinary scissors to create different sizes for different uses. You can cover plants loosely and then secure the fleece with soil, stones or staples, or sew the pieces into a form to place over plants. Extra thickness with practical durability. The thicker fabric provides faster growth potential for seeds compared with 15 gsm fleece, while the width offers flexible coverage. It is sturdy enough for reuse and is not so thick as to risk damaging delicate plants. The fleece is machine washable or hand washable and can be folded up for storage when not in use. Use scenarios Frost protection for tender plants and early potatoes: drape loosely over plants in frosty conditions and secure with soil, stones or staples to maintain a warm microclimate. Size adjustment for individual plants: cut to the required size for specific plants, then use as a plant cover or form by securing around the plant or sewing into a protective sleeve. Bed and shrub protection: cover larger beds or groups of shrubs to reduce cold damage while allowing light and moisture to pass through.
