Material and durability Construction uses foodgrade stainless steel for the two rollers and all small screws, and aluminum alloy for the crank and funnel. This stainless steel build resists corrosion, supports good heat and wear resistance, and is designed to last a lifetime. Capacity and adjustment The unit accommodates up to 7.7 lb of grain at once with a 1 mm hardened funnel. Roller spacing is adjustable from 0.025 to 0.1 inches. To set the distance, loosen the two buttons on either end of the malt breaker, adjust with the dial, then tighten to lock in the proper gap. Drilling mode and removable crank The crank handle can be removed to install a standard 3/8 inch drill, suitable for 200–300 rpm (avoid very speeds). The aluminum alloy handle is corrosion resistant, nonslip, portable, and visually appealing compared with a steel handle.
