MT6701 is a magnetic angle encoder chip based on differential Hall sensing principle. The chip senses the magnetic field component perpendicular to the surface as radial magnets with poles on the chip surface rotate. MT6701 outputs angle signals ranging from 0 to 360°. In addition to providing ABZ/UVW incremental output and Analog/PWM absolute angle output, the chip provides 14 bit digital angle output through the I²C/SSI interface. In addition to measuring the rotation angle, the MT6701 provides a press output to enable single chip button functionality.
