To adjust the fence, loosen the wing nuts until the fence is freely movable, then adjust to the desired position before retightening the wing nuts, ensuring the wings of the nuts are parallel to the fence to ensure they do not contact the edge of your woodwork. Grip the plane with both hands and pull it smoothly toward you while following the wood grain. Use the butterfly-nut-adjustable guide to set a consistent cutting depth when working along an edge or trim line. Always stabilise the workpiece before planing.Clean the blade after use and apply a light coat of oil to prevent corrosion.
