Self-Adhesive Rubber Roof Seal Kit, Durable Replacement for Soft Top, Compatible with R52 Convertible 2001-2006 This weather seal repair kit is designed for the rear hood area of convertible soft tops, providing a cost-effective solution to replace cracked or worn rubber seals on the chrome trim. Compatible with Mini One, Cooper S, and other R52 convertible models (2001-2006). Features: - Self-adhesive with 3M tape for easy installation - Approx. 2 meters in length, with minor trimming required around the third brake light - Restores weather sealing and protects stitching from UV damage Installation Steps: 1. Clean the surface thoroughly for maximum adhesion. 2. Remove all old rubber down to the plastic level using a sharp craft knife. 3. Apply the new rubber strip over the flat edge, overlapping onto the roof material. Press firmly as adhesive bonds quickly (under 15 seconds). 4. For added security, apply super glue (not included) along hidden edges or a bead of silicone if needed. Note: Avoid jet washing the roof and seal; use a sponge and bucket rinse instead. For best results, remove the chrome strip (using tamper-proof torx screws accessed by releasing side latches and tipping up the lower roof) to cut the rubber away from the car and prevent damage to the fabric. Package includes: 1x self-adhesive rubber seal. No original tools or glue included.
