BATTERY RUNTIME EXAMPLE
A 500W appliance used for 2 hours needs about 1000Wh at the AC side. At an assumed 85% system efficiency, the battery must deliver about 1176Wh, plus reserve. For a 12V system this is about 98Ah of usable battery capacity, not nominal capacity. Actual runtime depends on battery chemistry, age, temperature and discharge limit.

POWER SELECTION - READ BEFORE ORDERING
Rated power: 2000W. Recommended normal total load: no more than about 1600W to leave operating margin.
Peak power: 20000W. Peak is a short startup figure only and is not continuous output.
Waveform: Modified sine wave. Motors, compressors, audio equipment, medical devices and precision electronics may require a pure sine wave inverter.
How to estimate your appliance power:
1. Read the appliance label for Input Power in W. Use input power, not output power.
2. If only voltage and current are shown, estimate watts as V x A. For several devices, add all watts together.
3. Refrigerators, pumps, drills, air conditioners and other motor loads can need 3 to 7 times their running watts for startup. The exact surge must be checked with the appliance manufacturer.
4. Heaters, kettles, hair dryers, cookers and similar heating loads use close to their full label wattage continuously.
For a 2000W inverter, do not select it for an exact 2000W continuous load. Choose extra capacity and confirm startup demand.
High power requires high battery current. Use a battery, BMS, fuse and short thick cables rated for the actual current.
BATTERY CURRENT REFERENCE
At 2000W output, ideal DC current is about 167A from 12V or 83A from 24V, and real current will be higher because of losses. The battery and BMS must support the discharge current. Use a correctly rated fuse and short thick cable
