Power On and Out (Long press to turn on; long press to turn off)2. A near/far switch controls the overall sensitivity. The far position is recommended when you first position the probe. When you are close to the transmitter and the meter goes to full scale and you cannot desensitize it further, switch to the near position for its precise location.3. Look for signals from a small detector or camera with a built-in transmitter that has been routed through conduit. The detector should emit a 512Hz signal, and the receiver can determine the approximate depth of the target. Start by turning on the receiver, walking around, keeping the receiver at waist height and walking in the general direction of the transmitter while slowly scanning the receiver while pointing in the direction of the transmitter.You will notice that the signal will get bigger. As you get closer, reduce sensitivity as needed to keep it within range. Flip the nearby switch when you can't keep the meter below full scale Continue in the direction of a stronger signal. When you get to the point where the signal appears to be strongest, no matter which direction you move will make it weaker, you know you have found a detector just below the center of the mast. Move to another location, look for that spike signal again, and see if you keep coming back to the same location for confirmation. If you follow each step correctly, you should end up on top of the launcher every time. Keep practicing until you get consistent results. The product does not include a transmitter, you need to bring your own 512Hz transmitter for use.
