Product description When tiles, splashbacks or decorative wall panels are fitted, an existing electrical back box can be left recessed behind the new wall surface. This pack of four HowseHold 1 gang socket spacers provides an additional 10mm of spacing, helping bring a compatible single socket or light switch faceplate forward for a neater fit against the finished wall. Each white plastic spacer is designed to sit between the existing wall box and the faceplate. The open centre accommodates the fitting, while the fixing points align with a compatible 1 gang socket or switch installation. The spacer can be useful where tiling, panelling, cladding or an uneven wall finish has created a gap, or where a recessed box needs extra clearance behind the faceplate. The white finish coordinates with common white electrical accessories and creates a clean border around the fitted faceplate. With four spacers included, the pack is suited to repeat installations across kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and other indoor areas, or for keeping spare pieces available for later decorating projects. To fit, isolate the electrical supply, loosen and remove the faceplate from its mounted position, place the spacer behind it, then secure the faceplate correctly. Longer fixing screws may be required to accommodate the additional 10mm depth and are not supplied. Electrical work should be carried out by a qualified person if you are unsure.
