Mower and trimmer damage: Provides a physical buffer that helps prevent accidental contact by lawn equipment. Mulch displacement: Holds mulch in place to maintain a consistent coverage layer and a tidy appearance. Basic installation steps 1. Select the size that matches the trunk diameter, allowing enough room for trunk growth. 2. Place the mulch lock up around the base of the tree and secure according to your preferred method for your planting situation. 3. Add mulch inside the protected area, keeping mulch a short distance from direct contact with the trunk as preferred. Use scenarios Newly planted saplings in a residential lawn where regular mowing takes place: install the mulch lock up to shield the trunk from mower strikes and keep mulch positioned as the tree establishes. Urban or community gardens with mixed plantings: use the product to separate mulch around each specimen and reduce weed encroachment in tight planting beds. Orchards and small holdings with routine maintenance: fit the appropriate size around trunks to reduce manual weeding and protect bark from accidental trimmer contact. Practical notes Choose a size that allows for expected trunk growth and routine maintenance. The product is intended as a physical mulch containment and protection aid.
