Black Plastic Mulch Film 0.8m x 40m Weed Control Barrier for Vegetables Greenhouse Durable Agricultural Mulch

Product: Black Plastic Mulch Film for Greenhouse and Agricultural Use Key benefits Controls weeds effectively to reduce manual weeding and competition for nutrients. Raises soil temperature to promote earlier crop development and potentially higher yields. Reduces soil moisture evaporation and limits nutrient leaching to conserve water and fertilizer. Durable construction with tensile strength and abrasion resistance for reliable field performance. Made from selected quality plastic with no peculiar smell for easier handling and installation. Main features Material: plastic. Thickness: 1.0 mil. Sizes available: 0.8m x 20m, 0.8m x 30m, 0.8m x 40m, 0.8m x 50m, 0.8m x 100m. Functions: weed control, increased soil temperature, reduced soil moisture evaporation, reduced nutrient leaching, reflective weeding, warmth and moisture retention. Physical properties: tensile strength, abrasion resistance, no peculiar smell. Why this product solves common problems Weeding and competition: The black mulch creates a barrier that suppresses weed growth, reducing labor and the need for chemical weed control. Temperature management: By increasing soil temperature, the film supports faster seedling growth and can allow earlier planting in cooler seasons. Water and nutrient conservation: The mulch reduces evaporation and helps retain nutrients near the root zone, improving resource use efficiency. Durability: tensile strength and abrasion resistance mean the film resists tearing during installation and while in use, minimizing replacements. Compatibility and typical applications Suitable for greenhouse crops and openfield agriculture where black plastic mulch is appropriate. Works with raised beds, row planting, and container nursery setups that require soil temperature and moisture management. Practical use scenarios Greenhouse tomato production: Lay the 0.8m wide film over prepared beds, cut planting holes, and transplant seedlings. The film helps warm the soil, reduce weed pressure, and maintain consistent moisture for early fruit set. Vegetable row mulching in open fields: Use the 0.8m x 50m or 0.8m x 100m rolls to cover rows of peppers, cucumbers, or melons. The mulch reduces irrigation frequency and limits soil erosion around the plants. Nursery and seedling beds: Apply shorter rolls such as 0.8m x 20m or 0.8m x 30m to protect young plants, retain moisture, and speed up early growth stages. Installation and handling tips Prepare and level the soil surface before laying the film to ensure close contact and even warming. Secure edges with soil, staples, or sand to prevent wind uplift. Make planting holes as needed, keeping openings minimal to retain moisture and heat. Inspect film periodically for tears and promptly to maintain performance. What makes it stand out Combines practical agronomic functions with durable material properties for consistent field results. Multiple roll lengths to match different plot sizes and crop planning needs. Neutral odor and robust construction simplify storage, transport, and onsite use.
