Heavy Duty 7 Inch Extra Long Door Strike Plate, 2 Pack Security Door Reinforcement for Damaged Jamb Replacement

Oversized Door Strike Plate with Standard Lip, 7 inch A heavy duty replacement strike plate designed to and reinforce door jambs, cover damage, and restore reliable latch performance. The extralong 7 inch plate with a standard lip fits standard strike slots while hiding worn or broken jamb areas and preventing recurring alignment problems. Key benefits Covers and conceals damaged door jambs, worn slots, gouges, and improper woodworking repairs. Restores secure latching when misalignment, wood shrinkage, or seasonal movement prevents the latch from engaging. Installs even when original screw holes are stripped, oversized, or damaged thanks to relocated mounting holes. Resists deformation and heavy impacts due to thicker, hardened stainless steel construction. Features Oversized 7 inch length with standard lip to fit standard strike slots and tidy up the strike area. Relocated screw holes positioned to avoid prior mounting holes, enabling installation over stripped or damaged jambs. Enlarged strike opening to accommodate misalignment and allow for seasonal ground movement and wood shrinkage while keeping the latch functional. 2 mm hardened stainless steel for increased strength and impact resistance. Includes 4 pieces of 3 inch Torx Star screws and 2 pieces of 1 inch Torx Star screws plus the required screwdriver bit. 3 inch screws feature a dual cut design for easier driving and reduced risk of wood splitting or screw breakage. Typical applications Repairing a front or exterior door jamb with deep gouges or a worn strike slot so the door latches securely again. Replacing a strike plate where previous screw holes are stripped or oversized, using relocated holes to fasten into sound wood. Fixing a door that fails to latch after seasonal shifting or settling by using the enlarged strike opening to accommodate minor misalignment. Installation notes Standard lip fits standard strike slots; check alignment and mark screw locations as needed. Use the included Torx Star bit and 3 inch screws to anchor into framing for improved strength. The plate hides visible damage around the strike area while restoring proper latch engagement. This strike plate is intended for standard interior and exterior doors that require a stronger, longer plate to cover damage and correct latch issues without replacing the entire jamb.
