10 Pcs Calf Weaner Nose Ring with Secure Spring Lock, Milk Sucking Prevention, Durable Polypropylene

10 Pcs Calf Weaner Spring Lock Nose Thorn Milk Sucking Preventer Product overview A pack of 10 calf weaners designed to discourage milk sucking behavior during weaning and group housing. Each unit features a lengthened, widened nose thorn made of tensile strength polypropylene and a spring lock mechanism for a secure, removable fit. Key benefits Controls unwanted milk sucking behavior to support weaning and herd management. Durable construction for repeated use and reliable performance under farm conditions. Lengthened and widened thorn design improves fit and reduces dislodgement during activity. Spring lock provides a secure closure while allowing removal when needed. Pack of 10 supports small herds or multiple replacements. Features and attributes Function: Nonmedical device that discourages calves from suckling by interrupting latch behavior. Material: tensile strength polypropylene for resilience and easy cleaning. Design: Lengthened, widened thorn profile for improved contact and stability in the nostril. Closure: Spring lock mechanism for positive retention and intentional removal. Quantity: 10 pieces per set. How it works The nose thorn presents a physical reminder when a calf attempts to latch, making direct milk sucking uncomfortable enough to discourage the behavior without invasive measures. The spring lock fastens the device in place and can be released for removal when weaning goals are met. Practical use scenarios Weaning transition: Fit the weaners when moving calves off milk feeds to help reduce persistent sucking behavior and support the shift to solid feed. Group pen management: Use in grouphoused calves to reduce crosssuckling between animals and the associated stress on dams and penmates. Postbottle training: Apply after bottle or bucket feeding to discourage to milksucking habits in calves that have learned to latch on other animals. Installation and care notes Install and remove with care to minimize discomfort; follow normal animal handling procedures. Clean with water and a mild detergent before reuse; inspect regularly for wear or damage. Designed to work with typical calf nose anatomy; monitor fit and behavior and adjust as needed.
