Transfer the prepared Red mixture to a dish, then spread it evenly while changing the brush stroke direction to help prevent streaks. Let the leather dry fully before checking the shade or deciding whether another coat is required.Test the concentration on an identical scrap of leather before starting the main piece. The colour will look darker while the material is wet, so evaluate the Red result only after drying. Once the required colour has been obtained, apply 2 to 3 coats of Craft Sha Leather Lacquer to help limit rubbing off or fading.Please note that leather dyes will only yield desired results on untreated and uncoloured vegetable tanned leather. Application of dyes to already dyed/coloured leather will result in discolouration and darkening of the existing leather colour, and application of dyes on treated (e.g., waxed, lacquered, oiled, etc.) leather may result in inconsistent absorption.
