20 cm (8 inch) curved roughing knife - Curved roughing tool for woodworking - Hand debarking tool

Curved Wood Peeling and Hollowing Knife - Professional Carving Tool Discover the ancestral tool, reinvented for modern craftspeople. This curved wood peeling knife, with its hardened steel blade and two wooden handles, is designed to rough out, hollow out, and carve wood with unparalleled power and control. Essential for transforming a raw log into a unique piece. Curved Carbon Steel Blade for Efficient and Deep Work The 20 cm blade, forged from high-quality steel, features a pronounced curve along its entire length. This specific shape allows for deep penetration into the wood to remove large quantities of material, hollow out bowls, carve chair seats, or shape concave curves with great efficiency. Its beveled edge is designed for easy sharpening and maintenance. Double Wooden Handles for Maximum Leverage and Control Unlike one-handed knives, the two handles provide exceptional mechanical leverage. You work by pushing or pulling with your entire upper body, allowing you to tackle hardwoods without tiring your arms and wrists. The hardwood handles (such as beech) are ergonomically designed for a firm and comfortable grip during extended use. Specific Working Technique for Predictable Results The tool is operated by keeping the blade's bevel facing upwards. By pulling it towards you (or pushing it) from the center of the workpiece, it "picks" the wood into thick chips. This technique offers superior visual and tactile control for gradual and even carving, avoiding splintering and excessively deep cuts.
