Power Supply and Voltage Regulation The board includes a 78L05 voltage regulator to stabilise operation. For reliable performance, an input voltage of 8 to 9V with a current draw of around 200mA is recommended as the ideal operating range. An input of 12V should only be used for short-term testing, as prolonged use at this voltage will cause the board to heat up. The 14-pin header provides an 8V supply from the motherboard, with the GND pin clearly identified for correct wiring. Connection and Setup The module connects to an encoder via the 7-pin interface in the middle, which links to the digital matrix input. The 5-pin and 6-pin connectors should be wired as shown in the product photos. Take a moment to double-check your connections before powering up, particularly the supply voltage, to keep the board within its safe operating range.
