400W 2-Way Crossover Frequency Divider for Speakers, 4-16 Ohm

Adjusting the Crossover for Your Speaker Setup This 400 W crossover is a two-way frequency divider designed for use with speakers rated at 4–16 ohms. It gives you direct control over the audio output, allowing you to fine-tune the performance to suit your enclosure and driver combination. The unit features a series of jumper caps that adjust the crossover behaviour. Removing jumper A limits the lower frequencies, which helps reduce distortion when the speaker is struggling with excessive bass. Jumper B works in the opposite way: removing it raises the lower frequency response, while fitting it lowers it. This gives you flexibility to match the crossover point to your specific drivers. Jumpers C and D are used to control the height of the frequency response. When both C and D are active, the output is noticeably louder, which can be useful for balancing efficiency across the frequency range. Managing Audio Levels and Distortion Jumpers A and B govern the overall audio effect. A adjusts the lower end of the spectrum, while B controls the upper frequencies. If you find that a particular speaker sounds too bright or harsh, the upper range may be causing distortion. In that case, adjusting jumper B can help tame the output and produce a cleaner, more balanced sound. By experimenting with the jumper positions, you can tailor the crossover to your specific speaker build, helping you achieve a more controlled and accurate listening experience.
