Phono Preamp and Equaliser in One This compact unit combines a two-channel phono preamp with a three-band equaliser, giving you a single device that both boosts your turntable's signal and lets you shape the sound to your liking. The straightforward controls make it easy to adjust left and right channel balance, set the overall volume, and fine-tune the high, mid and low frequencies, so you can tailor the sound to suit your music and your system. Three-Band Tone Control With independent control over the high, mid and low bands, you can adjust the tonal balance to bring out the best in different recordings. Whether you prefer the punch of rock or the warmth of jazz, the equaliser lets you set the sound to match the music and your personal taste. The left and right channel balance control also helps you achieve a well-centred stereo image. Clean Signal Path The signal processing circuit is built around the TI NE5532 operational amplifier, which boosts the output from your turntable's cartridge up to speaker or stereo line level. This provides a stronger, cleaner signal with low noise and Hi-Fi quality, so your records sound fuller and more detailed through your amplifier or powered speakers. Isolated Power Supply for Quiet Operation An isolated boost power supply helps maintain signal purity and a wide dynamic range, and it also prevents ground loop interference, even when the unit is used in a car. The circuit is designed to operate silently, with no thumping noises when the unit is powered on or off. The preamp runs from a 5V DC supply, making it simple to power in a variety of setups.
