Power can be supplied through either the terminal block or a DC header, accepting a wide 8 to 28V DC input with reverse connection protection for added peace of mind in demanding installations. Flexible Configuration and Serial Connectivity The device supports terminal-type RS485 interfaces and standard DB9 RS232 connections across its four channels. A 10/100M Ethernet interface handles network traffic efficiently. Configuration is straightforward through either a dedicated configuration tool or AT commands, with web-based configuration planned for future updates. Baud rates from 2400 to 115200bps are supported, along with odd, even and no parity modes, giving you the flexibility to match existing equipment settings. Advanced Network and Protocol Features Multiple servers can operate simultaneously, with each supporting up to five client connections. The unit functions as a versatile Modbus gateway, enabling active reporting from RTU devices and seamless protocol conversion between Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU. You can configure it in storage mode to automatically collect device data, or use the question-and-answer multi-host mode for more interactive setups. Configurable DNS resolution, a timeout restart function with customisable intervals (defaulting to 30 minutes), short connection support and serial port cache cleaning all contribute to dependable, low-maintenance operation. Cloud and IoT Integration For IoT deployments, the serial server supports active data reporting to TCP transparent transmission servers and MQTT servers, along with HTTP client mode using HTTP/1.1 with both GET and POST request methods. The built-in MQTT gateway provides rapid integration with AliCloud and standard MQTT 3.1.1 platforms including OneNET, Baidu Cloud and Huawei Cloud, making this an adaptable choice for remote monitoring and industrial automation projects.
