M42 Lens Adapter for NEX E-Mount Camera Body

M42 to E-Mount Lens Adapter This adapter lets you mount M42 screw-thread lenses onto Sony E-mount camera bodies, including the NEX-5 and NEX-3. It is a straightforward mechanical adapter with no glass elements, so it preserves the original optical character of your lens while giving it a new home on a modern mirrorless camera. Precise Fit and Reliable Connection The adapter is machined to provide a secure, snug fit between the lens and the camera body. Once mounted, the connection is stable, so you can focus and shoot with confidence. The design keeps the flange distance accurate for M42 lenses, which is essential for achieving sharp focus at infinity and across the focusing range. Compatible Lenses This adapter suits M42-mount lenses, including modified cine and film lenses with shorter flange distances. It also works with a range of popular M42 optics such as the Zoomatar 90 mm f/2.8, SF85 mm f/4, Achromatic 85/4.5, Yashinon 60 mm f/2.8, 1000 mm f/5.6, and Voigtländer 50 mm f/1.8. If you have other M42 lenses, they will fit as long as the rear element clears the adapter opening. Practical for Modern Shooting Using this adapter is a practical way to bring vintage and specialty glass to a digital E-mount body. It is particularly useful for photographers who enjoy adapting film-era lenses for portrait, macro, or creative work, and for those who want to experiment with different optical looks without investing in native lenses. The all-metal construction keeps the setup durable and dependable for regular use.
