EP8280 QR Code RFID Card Reader with USB for Access Control Systems

EP8280 Desktop QR and RFID Card Reader This EP8280 combines a high-performance barcode scanner with an integrated RFID card reader, making it a versatile choice for access control, kiosk and turnstile installations. The unit reads 1D and 2D barcodes, including QR codes, alongside NFC-enabled cards, so you can manage both card-based entry and barcode scanning from a single desktop device. Reliable Scanning Performance The built-in CMOS sensor delivers a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, with a motion tolerance of 2.2 m/s. This means the reader copes well with quick, natural hand movements when presenting a barcode or QR code, reducing the need for precise alignment and helping to keep queues moving at entry points. Simple USB Connectivity The reader connects via a standard USB interface, allowing straightforward integration with your existing access control system or kiosk setup. It also supports Wiegand output, giving you flexibility when linking to compatible controllers and entry management hardware. Built for Access Control Environments With its compact desktop form and support for both card and code reading, the EP8280 is well suited to staff entrances, lobby kiosks, car park barriers and similar controlled access points. The combination of NFC, QR and traditional barcode reading in one unit helps streamline your hardware requirements without compromising on day-to-day usability.
