Open Type Split Core Current Transformer Clamp Sensor for AC 300A

Current Transformer Open Type Coil CT AC 32A 63A 100A 500A Clamp Sensor(300A Split CT) What It Is This open type current transformer is designed for accurate AC current measurement in a range of applications. The split core design allows for easy installation around existing cables without the need to disconnect the conductor, making it a practical choice for retrofitting or ongoing monitoring tasks. Key Features The clamp style sensor is available in several rated current options, including 32A, 63A, 100A, 500A, and the 300A split core variant offered here. The open type construction means the sensor can be clipped around an existing cable quickly, reducing installation time and disruption. This makes it well suited for use in energy monitoring, industrial equipment, and electrical panel applications where current sensing is required. Practical Use Because the core splits open, the sensor can be fitted to an existing wire without interrupting the circuit. This is particularly useful for temporary testing, permanent metering installations, or any situation where downtime needs to be kept to a minimum. The compact design and straightforward fitting process make it accessible for electricians and technicians alike. Technical Details The sensor operates as a standard current transformer, stepping down high primary currents to a measurable secondary level for connection to metering or protection devices. The 300A split CT variant provides a broad measurement range suitable for a variety of commercial and light industrial loads.
