Black Plastic Gutter Downpipe Balloon Filter

Size: 14.5 × 12.5 cm. Lightweight polypropylene-based plastic, UV-stabilised for long-term outdoor use in UK climate conditions. Designed specifically for retrofitting into existing domestic downpipe systems—not a full gutter replacement. Fits securely via elasticated balloon geometry, conforming to internal contours of round pipes (including JH6 26–27). Filters both coarse and fine particulates: from large twigs and blossoms to pollen, seed pods and silt carried by surface runoff. Creates a physical barrier against vertebrate and invertebrate intrusion—preventing birds from nesting inside eaves, possums from accessing roof voids, and snakes from sheltering in warm, humid pipe sections. Limits standing water depth inside pipes, disrupting lifecycle of drain-dwelling pests such as drain flies and mosquitoes. Enables gravity-fed drainage efficiency by eliminating partial occlusions that reduce flow rate and increase backpressure during storms.
