4-Pc Woodworking Square Mortise Chisels

This 4-piece set delivers square mortising chisels in the four most utilised widths for UK carpentry: 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, and 12 mm. Each chisel has a 150 mm overall length, 85 mm functional blade, and a smooth, unthreaded shank for direct clamping into mortising machines. Made from high-carbon steel, hardened and tempered for balance between toughness and edge retention. Designed strictly for square-hole tenoners and lever mortisers — incompatible with rotary power tools. Used widely in UK residential construction, shop fitting, and architectural joinery to produce accurate, full-depth square mortises for structural integrity and aesthetic finish. Supports efficient workflow in time-sensitive UK projects — from modular home assembly to commercial office fit-outs — where joint precision directly affects installation speed and client satisfaction.
