Nylon Coil Zip Sew-In Kit

A purpose-built kit containing 60 cm of #3 nylon coil zip tape, one matching slider, polyester thread, stainless steel needles and a compact seam ripper — all finished in fade-resistant khaki. The nylon coil exhibits high tensile strength and low elongation, retaining shape after hundreds of cycles. Slider mechanism uses precision-moulded plastic housing with metal teeth for consistent engagement and minimal snagging. Tape ends are pre-reinforced with stitched stops, simplifying installation by eliminating the need to manually create top/bottom anchors. The kit is designed for hand-sewing with backstitch reinforcement or machine application using a zipper foot — both methods yield secure, long-lasting results on woven fabrics. Frequently used for reviving high-use items: replacing failed zips on commuting rucksacks, restoring zipped pockets on work trousers, mending side-zip skirts, and upgrading handmade bags with dependable closures — helping users avoid premature disposal of well-made items.
