Stable Solid Wood Butterfly Resting Box

This resting box is built from solid wood with exacting joinery standards — each joint cut and fitted by hand to ensure minimal air gaps and maximum rigidity. Its external measurements are 13 cm × 9.2 cm × 19 cm (5.12 × 3.62 × 7.48 inches), offering ample vertical space for butterflies to hang upside-down during rest or pupation. The base incorporates a seamlessly aligned water tray that sits flush and drains slowly, supporting natural hydration behaviours. A sturdy hinged back door opens fully for unhindered access — useful for seasonal cleaning, photography, or educational observation. Intended for fixed outdoor use, it integrates cleanly into heritage-style gardens, modern balconies, and school wildlife areas. Its weighted base and symmetrical shape ensure it remains upright and undisturbed, even in shared outdoor spaces with domestic animals.
