Microwave Egg Cooker With Poaching Tray

This dual-capacity microwave egg cooker is constructed from smooth, food-safe polypropylene (PP) and measures 16.5 x 12.5 x 8 cm, weighing 220 g. It comprises three functional layers: a lower water reservoir with clear scale markings, a middle drain basket with perforated base, and an upper poaching tray for gentle egg preparation. A tight-fitting lid seals the unit during operation to contain steam and prevent splashes. All parts are fully separable for thorough cleaning. To use, add water to the indicated line in the drain basket, place eggs in the poaching tray or lower bowl depending on desired doneness, and microwave for 3–5 minutes. Eggs cook evenly via trapped steam, and draining happens instantly once lifted — no tongs or slotted spoons needed. The non-porous PP surface resists egg residue and cleans quickly with warm soapy water or in the top rack of a dishwasher. Designed for real-life UK kitchen constraints: ideal for weekday breakfasts, batch-cooking eggs for lunches or snacks, and space-limited environments like university accommodation, home offices or rented flats without full cooking facilities.
